This year was a veritable treasure trove of unique characters, series, and ideas. Some of it worked extremely well, some of it was baffling, and some of it fell completely flat. The same goes for video game to anime adaptations out there, only more so. These types of shows are always pretty hit or miss, even if the source material is spot-on.
While it originally started as a small industry, voice acting has become a large part of the anime scene. English voice actors have their popularity within the anime fanbase in the West, but Japanese voice actors can be a selling point for an entire project. With hundreds of actors appearing in anime every year, it can be difficult to pick out just five that shined the most in one year. But that’s exactly what we’re going to do.
