Summer’s just around the corner and that means new anime. Kadokawa’s “eb-i Xpress” service conducted a survey amongst the Japanese public to find out what programs they want to watch next season, and the results might surprise you.

This survey gathered votes from 18,664 people, and was conducted from May 29 to 30. Voters ranged from ages 5 to 69.

  1. Owarimonogatari and Kakegurui above everything else. I could’ve sworn that there were some more quality shows coming, but these lists do tend to be pure comedy, so I’ll have to check out the complete list of summer anime.

  2. We can usually count on summer to bring us a great show that nobody saw coming — a School-Live!, a Monthly Girls’ Nozaki-kun, etc. I’ll continue to keep faith that *something* here will turn out good.
