Why I Love It: The female vocals of angela and fripSide respectively have quite different-sounding voices and how they play off of each other–especially in the chorus–makes this one to listen to.

Song: “RAGE OF DUST”
Artist: SPYAIR
Why I Love It: This hard rock song is the perfect way to get yourself pumped up for excellent giant robot fighting action.

Anime: Occultic;Nine
Song: “Seisū 3 no Nijō”
Artist: Kanako Itō
Why I Love It: Not only is it a rocking song in its own right, but with lyrics written by the anime’s original author, the words hold a secret meaning that only unlocks as you watch the show.

Anime: Yuri!!! On ICE
Song: “History Maker”
Artist: DEAN FUJIOKA
Why I Love It: The most excellent aspect of this song is not the vocals, but rather how they serve as a counterpoint to the triumphant chord progression that kicks off the chorus.

Anime: ALL OUT!!
Song: “Zenryoku Shonen produced by Okuda Tamio”
Artist: Sukima Switch
Why I Love It: I first encountered this 2005 hit J-rock song in classic DS game Moero! Nekketsu Rhythm Damashii Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan 2 and it is a perfect fit for anime about young men giving their all.
