The press release for the film lists the story:
The world is falling into irrationality.
One boy with the “Demon Lord Genes” fights back against this kind of world. This boy–Arata Kasuga–encounters seven beautiful girls.
These seven girls are mages who each hold within them the secrets of humanity’s seven deadly sins: pride, greed, lust, envy, gluttony, wrath, and sloth. Together, they make up the unit called Trinity Seven.
When the Arata and the Trinity Seven cross paths, the door of fate that decides the life or death of the world is thrown open.
Will Arata become the Demon Lord that destroys the world? Or…
