Ah! My Goddess (Ah! Megami-sama), You’re Under Arrest (Taiho Shichauzo),Sakura Wars, Tales of Symphonia. These are all titles so famous that nearly every anime fan knows at least one. But do you know the illustrator behind these works? Kosuke Fujishima debuted as a manga artist in 1986 with hisYou’re Under Arrest manga series. Also a storyteller, his Ah! My Goddessmanga ran from 1988 to 2014, inspiring two main TV anime series, one spin-off TV series, a TV special, and two OVA series.
The illustrator celebrated his 30th anniversary as an artist with a gallery titled “Boku to Kanojo to Norimono to.” (Me, Her, and Vehicles.) Beginning with artwork from Ah! My Goddess, here’s some of the artwork that was displayed at the exhibit:

The exhibit was held at The Artcomplex Center of Tokyo (ACT) from September 27 to October 4.
Dark Horse Comics publishes Fujishima’s Ah! My Goddess manga in North America under the title Oh My Goddess! Media Blasters released the first anime series in North America on home video, while FUNimation released the second season, Ah! My Goddess: Flights of Fancy. It also streams the second season on its website.
